in mathematics in 1988. With his bachelor's degree
, he secured a silver medal
awarded by the university’s board of graduation. He completed his M.Phil. in 1994, followed by the M.Sc. in mathematics in 1992 and a PhD in mathematics, under the supervision of dr. Saleem Asghar in 1999 from the same institution.
Having joined Quad-i-Azam University as a Junior Research Assistant, Hayat engaged his research in wave, fluid
, and Non-Newtonian Fluid Mechanics
. He became a Senior research assistant in 1995, and a lecturer
in mathematics in 1998. In 2001, he went to Germany
where he became an AVH Fellow
at the Darmstadt University
.
After completing his research, Hayat returned to Pakistan where he joined his alma mater to become an Assistant Professor of mathematical sciences
. In 2005, he was promoted as an Associate Professor in mathematics department of QAU and, in 2007, had promoted as a distinguished HEC National Professor.
