). He married his wife, Linda in 1990 and the couple lived in Buckinghamshire

 until moving to Singapore. The couple have three children, George (born in 1993), Max (born in 1995) and Bertie (born in 1997). Max and Bertie were born in Singapore whilst George was born before the family moved to Singapore.

Steven was the subject of several occurrences of marriage infidelity during his 21-year marriage. He had affairs in each of the three overseas posting where he was accompanied by his wife. Whilst in Hungary, Steven had an affair with a work colleague (named Kriszta Fogarasi). His wife filed for divorce
