He moved to Gothenburg
in 2003, joined jazz/fusion quartet Synkopaterna, featuring talented guitarist Johan Randén (The band started off as "Johan Randén Band" and were guided by their friends in Freak Kitchen
) and had a few projects with guitarist/producer Christian Alsing. He worked from time to time as a studio musician in the Gothenburg area and recorded basslines for artists like Bosson
, Britney Spears
and RARE. Andersson played bass in the hard rock band Outshine, toured in Sweden and Norway
, recorded one EP, one single and one full length CD between 2005-2006.
He joined the progressive metal band Pain of Salvation
in the beginning of 2007, recorded a live DVD and went on tour in Europe
as well as Egypt
. He had the chance to join the metal band All Ends
, but had to turn it down, since he worked full time with Pain of Salvation. Simon left Pain of Salvation in late 2008 due to personal reasons.
In early 2009 Simon joined the Swedish indie rock band Shallow Sense and is currently a session bass player for the Swedish progressive metal band Darkwater. Simon left Shallow Sense in August 2010, due to other projects.
Simon is still working with Darkwater as well as with his solo/band project (name and featured members will remain unknown until further notice).
