The Victoria Institute (or "Philosophical Institute of Great Britain") published the Journal of the Transaction of The Victoria Institute, which began in 1866; it became Faith and Thought in 1988 and then joined with Science and Christian Belief in 1989. In 1990 J.W. Haas stated that "the institute has had little recent influence on the British scene other than through its journal Faith and Thought".
