Haigh played with the Woodville club in South Australia. Since retiring as a player he has worked closely with the Australian men's and women's national programs. He was an assistant coach to Ric Charlesworth with the Australian women's team, the Hockeyroos, and is presently (2010) a selector for the men's national team, the Kookaburras. He was inducted into the Australian Hockey Hall of Fame in 2008.
