Richard Moore is a Scottish

at the Tour of Langkawi and Scotland
at the PruTour and the 1998 Commonwealth Games
, where he competed in the road race and the time trial.
Moore was disqualified from the 1996 FBD Milk Rás for holding onto a car following a crash during stage 7, he subsequently spent the rest of the stage in the team car discussing with a journalist how he could begin a career in journalism. Moore said "I had been chucked out of the race for cheating but I had, effectively, taken my first step on the journalistic ladder." He is one of the most established cycling journalists around today.
