In 1994 Perry Publishing acquired their first radio station when AM 1140 (now known as KRMP
) in Oklahoma City was purchased. The station became KVSP
and was the first Urban Contemporary
station in the Oklahoma City market since the mid-80s. With the success of KVSP, Perry soon acquired KJMM
in Tulsa
At that point there was a Black radio station based out of Sand Springs, Ok , a suburb of Tulsa billing itself as MIX 102.3FM. With Announcers: KK Holliday 7p-12, Keith "Sergio Lacour" Samuels 3p-7p afternoon drive, Angel Craig 10a-3p and Aaron Bernard 6a-10a as well as Nikki @ midnite-6am. These announcers had Tulsa on lock until Perry offered better salaries and took all announcers from MIX102.3FM. Hiring them to establish his frequency 105.3fm. And when MIX102.3fm folded because of this, Perry fired all of the announcers but Aaron Bernard, and to this day there are no original Tulsa announcers on the station. The station has lacked on Arbitron ratings ever since. and KJMZ

and operated the stations under the "Power Jammin'" network. Today the company operates stations in several cities in Oklahoma and has recently (as of August, 2007) acquired Radio One's cluster of stations in Augusta, Georgia

In the Fall of 2001, Perry Publishing and Broadcasting expanded into cable television when they begin the local cable TV program "Urban Outlet Television". Urban Outlet Television highlights news and sports stories for Oklahoma's African-American community and is broadcast on much of Oklahoma's cable systems.
