. Mojo Magazine named it as one of the best guitar-pop records of the last 10 years. Allmusic gave it 4.5 out of 5 stars and cited it as an "album pick". Reviewer Jason Ankeny commented, "Myracle Brah's debut captures the sound and spirit of the classic power pop era to perfection". Bopp recorded the album in his own bedroom with an eight track, which took place from about November 1997 to December 1997.

Despite positive reviews, Life On Planet Eartsnop failed to achieve commercial success in the United States. It sold much better overseas, particularly in Japan
