Geography

Lotzwil has an area, , of 6.21 km² (2.4 sq mi). Of this area, 2.95 km² (1.1 sq mi) or 47.5% is used for agricultural purposes, while 2.31 km² (0.891895986348756 sq mi) or 37.2% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 0.96 km² (0.370658072248834 sq mi) or 15.5% is settled (buildings or roads), 0.01 km² (2.5 acre) or 0.2% is either rivers or lakes.
