Criticism

In November 2009 an investigation in The Sunday Age revealed that The Lost Dogs' Home was accumulating large cash reserves while killing the majority of cats and dogs received. The organisation's initial response was to censor its Facebook page. Critics started a new Facebook page to openly discuss the issues. Currently, the Lost Dogs' Home has reverted back to censorship of dissenting views on their Facebook Fan Page by blocking and removing any comments which mention their massive kill rates and pretending that the censored posts contain profanity or non-family-friendly content.
