12 Months of the Year

The first photo shoot on the show was called 12 Months of the Year, and each girls was given a month to portray. McAvoy did pretty decent in the first photo shoot, but the judges worried that she can be too commercial than editorial. Nevertheless, she was called ninth and safe to the next week.

Alien Glass Tube

The second photo shoot forced the contestants modeling outfits in a crane-held tube 20–25 feet above the air. Although in the beginning she posed too slow, in the end she produced a great photo. The judges was very impressed with her photo that bring vulnerability and praised for her personality that comes through the shot. Considered one of the best photo of the week, McAvoy was called third and safe to the next week.

Snow White Queen

The third photo shoot make the girls transformed into a Snow Queen, with a wolf (a male model) and snow around her. McAvoy again gave a great photo, and considered as one of the best photo of the week. She was called fourth and moving on to the next week.

1950s Revenge-Seeking Housewives

The fourth photo shoot involved the girls back in 1950s theme, as the girls was portraying a revenge-seeking housewives with different themes of revenge each. McAvoy didn't do as well as previous photo shoots, mainly criticized by Jonathan for her lack of expression and personality. Thus making her ended up in the bottom two with Natalie, for not being versatile enough and lack of expression. McAvoy was saved, and Natalie was sent home.

Diamonds Beauty Shoot

The fifth photo shoot including diamonds as it's elements, as the girls will take beauty shoot with diamonds, nude. She makes a comeback this week, praised by the judges for her ability to relaxing her body and her mouth, and she was safe to the next week.

Motherhood

The sixth photo shoot was themed as Motherhood, between Pregnancy and Birth. The shoot was spared in two parts, the first was the girls posing as a pregnant mother, while the second they were posing with babies. The second part was judged in the judging panel, and McAvoy was praised so highly for being comfortable the most and making her photo believable thanks for the connection she bring to the baby. Lisa also told that it could be one of the most beautiful shot in the show's history. She was called second after Rebecca, and moving on to the next week.

Superheroes Above Vauxhall Tigra

The seventh photo shoot was called Superheroes Above Vauxhall Tigra, as the girls as suspended on wire over the car. McAvoy push through the borderline, and she was praised for embracing her dark side the week. She was called third and safe to the next week.

The eighth photo shoot forced the girls to posing for Firefly Tonics

McAvoy again gave another great photo, she was praised for her challenge win but her photo was received mixed reviews as she was looked a bit pain and a bit uncomfortable, but nevertheless it was a good photo. She was called second after Rebecca once again, and advanced to the next week.

-themed shoot. McAvoy failed to bring herself comes through this week, and ended up in the bottom two for the second time with Stefanie. The judges feel McAvoy had better chance, and Stefanie was sent home while McAvoy was saved.

Bikini Shoot

The final photo shoot was taken in a beach, with the girls must pose in a bikini with a male model. McAvoy's photo was considered as very beautiful and a decent photo, however, the photographer told that it was not a pose that she can find easily, but hard to get. She ended up in the bottom two yet for another time, with Rebecca. Saw McAvoy's constant improvements week by week, making her safe and goes to the final with Louise, while Rebecca was eliminated in her first time on the bottom two.

The Finale

After everything was completed, the judges was discussed about both McAvoy and Louise's strength in the competition. Louise had a great portfolio and she was easily a very good editorial model, but her attitude finds problem and her runway walking was not impressing. Her portfolio also not constant, sometimes she had a great shot but another time she had a worst shot. In the other way, McAvoy's portfolio was pretty decent by the judges, as it was improving constantly week by week. She also had the good attitude, acknowledge about the industry and her runway walking was praised. After a tough deliberation, McAvoy was crowned as the third Britain's Next Top Model.

Modelling career

As the winner, McAvoy received a modelling contract with Europe's leading modelling agency, Models 1. She appeared in the October edition of Company Magazine with a six-page editorial spread. She appeared with runner-up Louise Watts on GMTV
