Geography

La Neuveville has an area, , of 6.82 km² (2.6 sq mi). Of this area, 1.26 km² (0.486488719826594 sq mi) or 18.5% is used for agricultural purposes, while 4.27 km² (1.6 sq mi) or 62.6% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 1.25 km² (0.482627698240669 sq mi) or 18.3% is settled (buildings or roads), 0.01 km² (2.5 acre) or 0.1% is either rivers or lakes and 0.02 km² (4.9 acre) or 0.3% is unproductive land.

Of the built up area, housing and buildings made up 10.3% and transportation infrastructure made up 5.7%. 62.2% of the total land area is heavily forested. Of the agricultural land, 3.8% is pastures, while 13.8% is used for orchards or vine crops. All the water in the municipality is in rivers and streams.
