According to their charter of service, Kingdom FM is "a highly locally focused broad music and information station for Fife, with community involvement.”
Kingdom Radio Group bought Lanarkshire station Clan FM and West Lothian station River FM in 2004. Clan FM was relaunched as 107 The Edge. Both stations proved not to be profitable and the Lanarkshire licence was later sold to Mark Page in 2005 and River FM closed in 2007 and its license returned to OFCOM the industry regulator.

Kevin Brady is the Managing Director of Kingdom FM replacing Ian Sewell the Chief Executive of the Kingdom Radio Group who left in 2005. Kevin joined Kingdom FM prelaunch in June 1998 as the station Programme Controller. Darren Stenhouse is the current Programme Controller. Erin Linton is the News Editor and Barry Snedden is Concepts Manager, Sponsorship and Promotions.

Local news is presented, weekdays, on the hour between 6am and 7pm and at 7.30, 8.30, 4.30 and 5.30 for news headlines. National news is taken from Sky News Radio

 at the end of September 2008 . It was announced on 10 September 2008 that former breakfast presenter Ian Gilmour would be returning to the station for a second spell on the programme after two years with Talk 107. and Ian joined the show alongside then co-host Diane Lester. Diane Lester has now left Kingdom FM and Ian will be joined by a new co-host in the coming Month.

The first drivetime presenter when the station went on air in October 1998 was Kenny Page presenting the Overdrive show. Page left a year later in October 1999 due to ill health. He Sadly died on July 30, 2002.
