The station is based in Dumbarton near the castle and when formed was originally known as CastleRock FM. When the licence to broadcast to Helensburgh was obtained on the 106.9, the Castle Rock FM name was altered to Your Radio in account of its enlarged broadcasting area which extends beyond Dumbarton.
