Bob Ruth. It debuted in 1947 and aired for many years. The station moved to 990 AM, formerly KTYD
, in the late 1990s, with an all-sports format soon to follow. In the 1960s, 990 AM was called "KGUD" (K-Good Radio) and sported a country music format. It began simulcasting KTYD's AOR format in the early 1970s, but returned to a country format in the 1980s.
