Ms. Shelton is also founder, president and CEO of the Shelton Group, which was also founded in 1994, originally as an investor relations (IR) firm to help public companies manage their IPO process. In 1997, she broadened Shelton Group’s practice to include public relations (PR), which provides the critical, strategic counsel and services needed for company and product launches, as well as pre- and post-IPO phases.

Early career

Ms. Shelton began her career at Cyrix Corporation, where she became part of a three-person executive team that led the company’s IPO. Her positioning of Cyrix to the industry and the media as a formidable competitor to Intel Corporation resulted in hundreds of articles, including feature stories in major business press.

GSA and Ms. Shelton’s Involvement

Ms. Shelton was instrumental in the creation of GSA (formerly known as the Fabless Semiconductor Association) and has continuously addressed global issues in the semiconductor

 industry as the voice of its members. Under her leadership, GSA has grown to include more than 500 corporate members from across the globe.

Ms. Shelton oversees GSA daily global operations, ensuring the Alliance remains focused on achieving its defined vision and goals. She has become one of the leading spokespersons for the semiconductor industry and is often a keynote speaker at high-level financial and industry conferences, providing insight on key topics pertaining to the global semiconductor and electronics industries.

In recognition of her contributions, Ms. Shelton has been invited to ring the closing bell on NASDAQ three times since 2006.

Ms. Shelton has recruited the support of many CEOs within the industry in order to support the cause and efforts of GSA.

Upon the advice of the GSA board and its members, Ms. Shelton’s further expanded GSA’s international presence when it opened offices in Taiwan
