Ik-Hwan Bae, concert violinist, was born in Seoul, Korea and made his professional debut with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra
at the age of 12. He attended New York City's
prestigious Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts
, graduating in 1976. While there, Bae also studied with Ivan Galamian
at Juilliard's Pre-School. He went on to graduate from Juilliard four years later. His performances in recitals and concerto concerts has taken him to most of the major cities in Europe

His most recent project is as a concertmaster of the Hwaum Chamber Orchestra in Korea
, which is a conductor-less string orchestra. He has led them to Krakow, Poland and Puerto Rico
at the Casals Festival
