. Following the war he was given command of Kelly Field. In 1928 he was given command of Mitchel Field. Later he became Commandant of the Air Corps Tactical School
before assuming command of the Philippine Division and Fort William McKinley
. During World War II
he served with the Caribbean Defense Command
before being given command of Southern Defense Command
and Western Defense Command
. Following the war he was assigned to the Office of the Chief of Staff
. His retirement was effective as of September 1, 1946.
Awards he received include the Army Distinguished Service Medal
. Pratt was also a Knight of the Order of the Crown of Italy
