In 1971 he started his musical education at the Veitvet Music Conservatory in Oslo with the violin as his main instrument. After three years at this institution he continued his studies up to the musician / music teacher at Trondheim Conservatory of Music in Trondheim until the spring of 1977.

Career

After 25 years as a musician / music teacher, in 2001, he was badly injured in a serious traffic accident and had to interrupt musician career. This led him to The Grieg Academy in Bergen, where he earned master's degree
