Guy returned after being away with Tuesday in 1996 and attempted to get his job back but failed. Chris decided to move away to the United States leaving Guy alone. Guy discovered that Tuesday had a rare brain tumor and that there was no available surgical option in New Zealand. Guy decided to travel there with Chris as the operation could be done in America. With that, the Warners left Ferndale.

2007-2008

Guy returns in May 2007 as a successful author and self help guru, however he is now a drug addict with his teenage daughter Tuesday (Olivia Tennet

) being like his supervisor. Chris is unimpressed and tries to rid Guy of his problem, only escalating it and causing Guy to run away with Tuesday, Chris' wife Toni

Chris tracks them down in December 2007 and it is revealed Guy's drug addiction is even worse than before, appearing manic. he has also started to date Toni. He again tries to escape Chris, only causing a huge car crash, risking his, Toni, Tuesday and Harry's lives. In January 2008 it is revealed they all survived, with Toni losing a kidney and Guy being put in a coma. Guy starts to attend rehab and is disappointed to see Toni falling for Chris again. After professing his love to Toni and being denied, Guy has a one night stand with Alice Piper
