Casting

Margot was originally played by Glynis McNicoll but upon her refusal to return for the characters death in 2003, the role was recast with Dinah Priestley assuming the role who had previously portrayed Marion Seymour in 1997.

 convinced her to start attending alcoholic meetings where she met Michael McKenna and quickly formed a close friendship. Bruce suspected she was having an affair and tried his best to win his wife back.

In 1994 Margot returned to celebrate Guy's birthday and later voiced her disapproval of Chris' and Rebecca's interracial relationship. She was also disgusted at her husband's love for Grace Kwan however continued to insist she loved him. Bruce died in 1995 and Margot admitted that Guy was not her son rather the son of Chris' nanny who she willingly adopted. In 1996 Margot attended Chris' wedding to Tiffany Pratt
