World War I

Grigoriy Suk volunteered for aviation duty in World War I in 1915. Suk was trained as a pilot and posted to the 26th Corps Detachment of the Imperial Russian Air Force in March 1916. He flew combat for a while in Henri Farmans before being promoted to warrant officer

Between 26 March and 10 November 1917, Suk was credited with nine confirmed victories. On , he was killed in a landing accident as he returned from a flight.
