, are "incompatible with the folk-soul of our people."

EAU has advocated participation in the political process by supporting political candidates, encouraging members to write and call elected officials, and running candidates for office under the auspices of existing political parties. The activism techniques of EAU are deliberately designed to avoid news coverage and public notice, thus leading some observers to state that members of the organization "keep a low profile."

History

According to a speech delivered at the organization's October 2008 convention, European Americans United was formed as an outgrowth of a think tank whose members had been meeting for months before becoming semi-public in January 2007 and fully public in March 2008.

EAU is not a "continuation" of any previous organization, and was formed explicitly to chart a new path for pro European-American advocacy in America. EAU is NOT a "national socialist," "fascist," "white supremacist", "racist" or "hate" group. The Anti-Defamation League has slandered and defamed EAU by describing us as a continuation of some other group. This is a vicious lie which we categorically and vehemently deny.

Activities

European Americans United has a working group dedicated to the integration of constitutional republicanism and European New Right philosophy. They have called for personal improvement through ethics, and self-sufficiency. They have also established a group dedicated to the re-localization of agriculture.

Their activities are specifically designed to elicit little notice from media sources; most of what is generally known about their activities comes from their web sites. These activities generally encompass electoral politics, calling elected officials, and blending in with other organizations to achieve a goal—most recently with secessionist organizations, but also with organizations seeking the abolition of the Federal Reserve System
