Erol Bilgin is a Turkish
European champion in weightlifting competing in the 62 kg division.
He was born in the western Anatolia
n city of Kütahya. Bilgin started weightlifting in 1998 at the Kütahya Gençlik Merkezi S.K. Two years later, he transferred to Tarım Kredi S.K. He is coached by Hilmi Pekünlü. Bilgin is 1.57 m (5.2 ft) tall and weighs 62 kg (136.7 lb).
