The award consists of 100,000 Taka, an 18 carat gold

Each awardee receives a gold medal, a certificate of honour, and a sum of cash. The amount of the cash reward was originally taka 25 thousand, but it was subsequently increased to taka 100 thousand. Ministry of Cultural Affairs administers the Padak.
