 a global aerospace and defense company, headquartered in the Netherlands, whose business depends heavily on the development and integration of state-of-the-art technologies into its products.

EADS-IW operates the EADS corporate Research and Technology (R&T) laboratories and a global network of Technical Centers, with a long-term horizon focus. EADS-IW employs approximately 600 people including doctorates and university interns.

The teams within EADS Innovation Works are organized into seven trans-national Technical Capability Specialties:

  2. Metallic Technologies & Surface Engineering
  3. Structures Engineering, Production & Aeromechanics
  4. Engineering, Physics, IT, Security Services & Simulation
  5. Sensors, Electronics & Systems Integration
  6. Energy & Propulsion
  7. Innovative Concepts & Scenarios.


EADS-IW supports all the EADS business units, and have the mission to identify new value-creating technologies and develop technological skills and resources. To this end, EADS-IW supports partnerships with universities and research centers.
