The building and its plaza (known as Exelon Plaza) occupy the entire block bounded by Clark, Dearborn, Madison, and Monroe Streets.
. The building's name was changed from Bank One Tower on October 24, 2005, as a result of a corporate merger. Earlier, the building and plaza were called First National Plaza; when constructed, it was home to the First National Bank of Chicago.
