In recent years, average temperatures in the county seat of Bemidji have ranged from a low of -4 °F in January to a high of 79 °F (26.1 °C) in July, although a record low of -50 °F was recorded in January 1950 and a record high of 101 °F (38.3 °C) was recorded in July 1975.
