The Bantayan dialect is a mixture of native Cebuano, Ilongo (Negros), Waray (Samar), Masbateño, and Boholano, but it has words it can call its own such as “kakyop, sara, kag buwas“ (yesterday, today, and tomorrow).

The Holy Week Processions of Bantayan feature Tableaux that are similar to the Tournament of Roses Parade. They are unique because the carnival like decoration on the floats used by the images and tableaux.
