In 1954 Perrinjaquet sold the patent rights to ESGE, a small company that produced electrical motors. They began producing the first mixers towards the end of this year. On April 24, 1955 the new Bamix immersion blender was presented to the public for the first time at the Hanover Fair. Soon after the new appliance was named Zauberstab (magic wand) specifically for the German market.
