Album information

The album depends less on pushing the envelope in musical innovation, and more the heartfelt lyrics. It's Elissa's most personal album to date, with ballads from start to finish. Michel Fadel, Yaser Nour, and George Karam are all absent from this album, but Elissa works with Walid Saad, Sherif Tag, Yehia El Hassan, Ayman Mohseb, and Tarek Madkour for the first time. Nasser El As'ad, who was missing from Elissa's past two albums, returns to her team, as do the musicians who dominated Bastannak: Marwan Khoury, Dani Helou, Tamer Ali, Tamim, and Claude Chalhoub. The title song marks Elissa's first foray into dance music, albeit with Ayshalak-esque strings maintaining the oriental feel. For the most part, it is the oriental-sounding songs, like Betmoun, Saher Aini, and Ala Hobbak, that have the most beautiful music. After the huge success Kermalak and Zanbi Ana were, Elissa's third Marwan Khoury collaboration had big shoes to fill. Ya Aalem, despite the weak intro, and Ana Bastaghrab Aleih are easily the most powerful of the western-style ballads, but it's Saher Aini that takes the cup for the combination of beautiful lyrics and rich oriental music. to this day fans are disappointed with the title track not being released as a single with a video, Ayami Beek has turned out to be perhaps the most well known song of Elissa's career around the world.

Her first single of the album, "Betmoun" achieved number 1 on Rotana's PEPSI Top 20 Charts for one week, then the song dropped to number 5 the following week. although it peaked at number 1 to stay in the top 5 for 2 weeks only.

The video featured Elissa in a mansion looking at rain outside her window, remembering her former love and how she used to spend time with him during cold winter [from two years ago as lyrics suggest], and how she's now alone wondering where he is and how he's been. The video was shot in Black and White with blue filter to give it a 'wintery' feeling.
