. Amber dreamed about getting away from Furnace Creek a town that mainly housed trailer parks and she felt the gig she got to look after two rich snotty teenagers was a god send. Amber watched over Rick who at the time was sixteen years of age compared to Amber's twenty years of age and Bridget who was fifteen years of age. Amber spoke to Clarke Garrison after meeting him at a shop joking that she needed money in her life and he jokes and says well you know the best way to get that is to marry a rich guy. Amber thought to herself and then started to slowly flirt with Rick and show a little skin to pique his interest. So then in the Fall of 1997, Amber led an infatuated Rick upstairs and had sex with him while she was supposed to be babysitting him unknown to Brooke as she returned home. They kept it a secret and grinned at each other and snickered as she sat at the table to have dinner with Brooke and Eric on one occasion. . After Amber became pregnant, she and Rick decided to keep the baby.

Who's the Daddy? and Rivalry with Kimberly Fairchild

It was unclear as to whether the father was Rick or Raymond King, a black singer and musician (played by Usher Raymond) she had dated and had sex with while working as a waitress and singer at a club. Amber married Rick even though she didn't know if he was the father. She feared the Forresters' reaction if she gave birth to a biracial baby. She secretly delivered Rick's stillborn son at her mother's home and buried him in the desert. When the midwife stopped by with the unwanted newborn son of Amber's cousin, Becky, Tawny convinced her and Amber that Amber should raise him as her own.

Kimberly a chemistry major like Brooke and very beautiful like Rick's mother. She was also a virgin. She developed a crush on Rick and he developed one on her, after Brooke kicked Amber out of her son's life. However, Amber started to come around to bait Brooke that she was pregnant with Rick's baby which Brooke didn't believe. She told her it's probably another guy's child and she refused to let her ruin her teenage son's life and she should be arrested for rape. Amber therefore, decided to go to Rick and tell him that the baby was his. Rick was devastated and fearful telling his mom he didn't know what to do. Should he marry her? Brooke tells him no. She just wanted a meal ticket. Rick listens to his mother but relays to her he didn't want to be like Ridge going from woman to woman and not taking care of his responsibility like he did to Brooke time and time again and he was going to be a man and marry her. Brooke tried to get him to see that the situation wasn't the same. Amber plotted to get with him from the beginning because of his name Forrester. He tells her regardless of whether it's true or not he's going to be a father to his child. She demands that he gets a paternity test after the child is born and he says okay. He will. She cries and hugs him as he tells Amber he'll marry her for the sake of their child to Amber's delight.

Kimberly, tells Rick that Amber is lying. And if she isn't lying about the pregnancy it's some other guy's child. Rick tells her his mind is made up. Kimberly, goes to confront Amber and Kimberly pushes her telling her to admit it's another man's child. Amber lies and tells her, "No, it's Rick. And you're just angry because he wants me not you." And Kimberly, shook her head and said, "He's only marrying you for the baby and you know it." And that's because that's the kind of man Rick is, he's an honourable man. You don't deserve him." Amber is offended and says, "Oh, and you do!"

Kimberly, demands to know what she really did with the dead child after talking to Becky, Amber's cousin. And she bullies her to tell her and Amber's mother pulls a gun on her and tells her to leave her daughter alone or she'll shoot her. On other occasions Amber and Kimberly got into several fist fights over Rick.

The truth is revealed and Deacon Sharpe

Becky decides to reclaim the baby she gave up for adoption and discovers the truth. She keeps quiet in exchange for a job with Forrester and photos of the baby. Kimberly outs Amber and Rick leaves her briefly. After Becky's death from cancer, Rick and Amber reconcile to raise little Eric. Amber despised Ridge for his treatment of her and wanted Brooke to leave him. She already knew that a developing attraction was developing between him and Bridget (who was once believed to be his daughter until a DNA test proved otherwise) so she locked them in a cold cave and recorded for Brooke to see them kiss each other on the lips and hug each other in the cold.  who wound up coming to Genoa City. Amber was immediately smitten with Cane and when it was discovered he was Jill's long-lost child and the possible heir to a fortune, Amber made her move on him and began seeing him and after weeks of dating, Amber had her friend Alison Stewart come to town to help her get Cane by marrying him and they did just that as Alison provided Amber with a drug and slipped it to Cane who eventually passed out then Amber got a marriage license and had Alison to pose as Cane as they headed to a wedding chapel in Las Vegas. When Amber returned to hotel room, Cane woke up and Amber told him they got married, which didn't sit too well with Cane. Cane overtime tried to make his and Amber's marriage work, but it fell apart after Lily Winters let him know that Amber was sending nude photos of herself to her husband, Amber's best guy friend at the time Daniel Romalotti. Cane defended his wife's actions to her but became curious to find out more about her background since he didn't remember marrying her . So he called her ex-mother-in-law Brooke Logan first who told him that Amber was trouble and if he knew what was good for him he'd stay as far away from her as possible. He considered her statement and requested the video for the Las Vegas Chapel to see if he truly married her and saw Alison dressed up in disguise representing him. He let Amber have it with both barrels and even had sex with her, pretending he was going back to her, instead leaving before he yelled "How does it feel?"

Amber became intensely jealous of Lily Winters who Cane became infatuated with and started dating. Lily modeled for the company he worked at and they both kissed a lot in front of her. Lily and Daniel's marriage dissolved after she discovered Amber's naked porn pictures of herself on her husband's cell phone and then an account to a porn video website. Daniel claimed to have a problem but Lily still decided to divorce him and she called Amber trash. Amber attempted to get Cane back by winning a model contest, "The new face of Jabot Cosmetics Line" by dressing up as a model in disguise and competing against Lily on the catwalk. Cane knew it was Amber and pulled off her wig in public as light bulbs flashed causing Amber to break out into tears. She finally got the message that Cane didn't want her and left Lily and Cane's relationship alone.

Relationship with Daniel Romalotti

Amber had then fallen for Daniel Romalotti with whom she had become friends while trying to get with Cane. At the same time, Daniel was going through a divorce from his first wife Lily Winters

. Amber in an attempt to keep Daniel from being prosecuted slept with Deacon for the first and only time. Deacon really tried to make Amber his when he planted a stolen painting in Daniel's loft causing Daniel to be arrested. Deacon then tried to force a refusal Amber to marry him, but Deacon blackmailed he'd make sure Daniel stayed locked up permanently if she didn't marry him and in order to get Daniel out of jail, Amber prepared to marry Deacon until Daniel was released and found evidence to another painting which he knew Deacon wanted. Daniel made a deal with Deacon - Amber for the evidence "a key" to the other painting and Deacon went for the key, handing Amber back to Daniel.

Amber and Daniel Marry

Afterwards, Amber and Daniel finally decided to make their relationship official when they got married on Friday, November 13, 2009. Their wedding was officiated by Katherine. Shortly after they were pronounced man and wife, bad things began happening right away such as someone sent Lauren who attended the wedding a horrifying gift, however, Lauren and everyone decided to not tell Daniel and Amber to not spoil their night. Shortly into their marriage, Deacon was still on Daniel and Amber's trail and they created a setup for him which got Deacon arrested and jailed. After Deacon was jailed Amber decided to find, Deacon Jr..

Little Eric/Deacon Jr. and Divorce

Amber's fixation on finding Deacon Jr. bothered Daniel as he wasn't ready for children yet and wanted Amber to focus on their marriage. Amber's determination of finding Deacon Jr. and even wanting him to live with her and Daniel set a rocky road for Daniel and Amber's marriage. Amber and Daniel's marriage hit another bumpy road when she caught a drugged Daniel in bed with Daisy Callahan, who used Daniel to her advantage during the madness going on with her family. Amber knew her mother Tawny was coming to Genoa City to look for Eric, who had come to find Amber a few days earlier. Amber wanted to leave town and asked Daniel to come with them.

On May 7, 2010, Amber announced she would be leaving Genoa City with Eric, and since Daniel was reluctant to go with them, Amber left him. Amber said her farewells to Daniel, Katherine and the ones closest to her, and exited the show. Amber appeared on-screen May 29 during a phone conversation with Daniel in which she told him she and Deacon are putting Eric into boarding school, but despite that she wouldn't be returning to Genoa City, but going to L.A. to look for a job.
