came into the picture. Amber's mother Tawny talks her daughter into lying about her pregnancy by claiming that Liam is the father of the child instead of Oliver. Amber talks Oliver into going along with the deception since he still wants Hope. The test results come back as positive and Liam's father Bill Spencer, Jr. threatens Amber, who he still believes is lying that the baby belongs to his son. Liam and Hope take a break as she attempts to think the situation through and Steffy, her stepsister whose had issues with in the past comforts her.

Amber's pregnancy test is positive

Sure that Amber was lying about her pregnancy Hope went to Amber's trailer house and goaded her into taking a pregnancy test. Amber took it and it came back positive. A saddened Hope called Liam with tears in her eyes and informed him it was positive. Liam stood on the other side of the phone yelling out Hope's name as she ignored him and hung up. She went to her mother's office, Brooke and told her about the test wanting her mother to tell her Amber was lying and everything was going to be alright to which Brooke couldn't do. Both Brooke and Hope went to Amber's house to strongly encourage her to tell them who the true father was since they know it isn't Liam. Hope accuses Amber of targeting Liam and going after the Spencer fortune. As they were arguing another knock came at the door and it was Bill and Liam who came for answers also. Bill called a lab technician and told him to have a room available since Amber will be taking a paternity test today.

Amber's baby isn't Liam's or Oliver's

On June 20, 2011 Amber gives birth to a baby girl. When a DNA test is done, however, it reveals that neither Liam nor Oliver is the father of Amber's baby as had been previously believed. The father of Amber's baby turns out to be Hope's cousin Marcus Forrester.

Hope reunites with Liam

also encourages Oliver. Hope, however, lets Liam know that she would rather wait until she is married to make love, which he seems to accept. Despite all of this, Hope is being set up to be the new Brooke Logan, a pattern that head writer Bradley Bell is reproducing through her daughter.

Rivalry with Steffy resumes

Despite her being there for Hope when she had split up with Liam, Steffy still harbors hatred and jealousy towards Hope and continues to play on the fact that Hope is a virgin, making her feel insecure. When Steffy's affair with Liam's father Bill ends, Hope makes it known to her sister that she's getting what she deserves for getting involved with a married man and not caring about who she hurt in the process. When Liam revives an unconscious Steffy after finding her in her bathtub, she uses the experience to further antagonize Hope.

Engagement

On Friday, August 19, Liam made a shocking proposal to Hope at the launch of the new Hope For The Future line. On Monday, August 22, Hope accepts Liam's proposal, much to the dismay of Steffy.

Liam marries Steffy to Aspen

On September 29, Hope ended her engagement to Liam after catching him making out with Steffy (unbeknownst to them). Later that night Liam proposed to Steffy with Hope's engagement ring. Hope is heartbroken when she learns that on October 11, 2011 Liam and Steffy marry to Aspen.

Brooke and Katie have suspicions

While Taylor is happy for her daughter, Brooke, on the other hand, isn't so sure and begins to wonder if there are other reasons for Liam to marry Steffy other than love. She encourages Hope, who had been trying to talk to Liam in Aspen before he married Steffy, to let him know why she broke off the engagement. When Brooke notices what she suspects is an alliance between Bill and Steffy, she becomes even more suspicious and wonders if Bill had anything to do with the marriage happening. Katie, who also doesn't support Liam and Steffy's marriage, wonders that herself. Steffy confesses to Liam about Hope being in Aspen. After confiding in Taylor about knowing that Hope is in Aspen, Steffy later tells Liam and tells him that the only reason she didn't tell him to begin with was that she loved him and wanted to protect their marriage. Liam, however, is angry at his wife for lying to him. And then he forgive her for what she did.

After Hope leaves, Thomas and Liam have an encounter where Thomas demands Liam back off and leave Hope alone, to go back to his 'wife' and let Hope go on with her life. Hope finds out from Katie that Steffy lied as well and she runs to Liam to ask him to take her back.
