which ceased operations in 1991. It was founded by Arthur Fecteau.
and by 1957 FTA had started international operations on routes to the USA and Europe
with 3 leased DC-6 aircraft.
The airline entered the jet era in 1960 with the acquisition of the Sud-Aviation Caravelle. Intercontinental jet services started between 1965 and 1970 acquiring Convair 880

and DC-8 aircraft for international scheduled and charter destinations in China, the UK, France and Mexico. In 1973 Fecteau Transport Aerien was renamed as Air Fecteau and acquired Fokker 27 aircraft to expand their international services. In 1975 Air Fecteau was merged with Canadian Metro Airlines
and 2 years later was acquired by Air Canada
to operate the Air Canada charter services. The contract with Air Canada ended in 1986.
