regain the championship for the third time in succession, by beating Porteño in a championship playoff. It was their 10th title in 12 seasons and their last, the football team was disbanded at the end of the season, due to financial problems.
Racing Club
made their debut in 1911, they are the most successful team from the amateur era that still survives.
