History

The first edition of the tournament was played on 8 October 1911 which ended in a 1-1 draw, the replay was staged on 29 October 1911 and won by Uruguay. It was played 13 times and the final edition was played in 1924.

Rules

The cup was decided by a single match in Uruguay, except in the case of a draw, where a replay was staged.
