The centre of the village is Willerby Square, pictured left. Once a bustling centre of the village with traditional shops, this area is often referred to as "The Estate Agent Capital" of the area due to the overwhelming number of estate agents in the square. There still remains a couple of shops and bakeries in the square as well as the Willerby Methodist Church which is also home to the local charity "Willerby and Kirk Ella Helping Hand", and a local pub just a few minutes walk away. As stated on a road sign, Willerby has been a community for over 1100 years. Its local Secondary School is Wolfreton School
