It has a number of shops, as well as the village hall, St. Peter's Parish Church, several cafes/restaurants and a gym. These are situated on the conjoined roads of Wilson Street and Hull Road. The shops included a number of charity shops, a small supermarket, a grocery, a Post Office, a pharmacist, a Fish and Chip shop, a Pizza/Burger/Kebab shop (Gino's) and a dedicated newly opened Pizzeria, a Chinese takeaway, two bakers, and the award winning butchers Brian Fields.
