Welsh Books Council

The Welsh Books Council or Cyngor Llyfrau Cymru was established in 1961 under the name of Cyngor Llyfrau Cymraeg (Which translates as the 'Welsh (Language) Books Council'). Today it is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government

The Books Council’s headquarters are at Castell Brychan, Aberystwyth
and by now there is also a Distribution Centre on the outskirts of the town at Glanyrafon Enterprise Park. The Council employs 49 permanent staff between both locations. The distribution centre has an annual turnover of around £5 million (net).
