Dr. Wang is well known for his initiatives and leadership for social organizations and think tanks in China. He has been an adviser to the Chinese government, as well as established enterprises and social organizations in China. Dr. Wang was appointed as an expert’s group leader for global talents strategy study by Chinese Government Talents Coordination Office as well as a team leader for economic group of Overseas Experts Advisory Committee for the China State Council Overseas Chinese Affairs Office. Dr. Wang used to work as an official for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Trade (now Ministry of Commerce) and involved with China’s going global initiatives.

Dr. Wang’s international experience includes serving as Chief Trade Representative for Canada Quebec Government Office in China and Hong Kong (the first mainland born Chinese to be appointed to this position in Canada), Director of Asia of SNC-Lavalin
