. The school had been taking pupils from year 7 to 13, now it takes covers from year 9 to 13, with year 7 and 8 now attending Wakatipu Primary School.

Wakatipu High School uses system with different colours: Fox House(red), Hay House (Green), Arthur house, (Yellow and Blue), Mackenzie House (orange) and Duncan House (black).

M block

G block

G block is located near the music room (M block). More known between the students and staff as "the gym" or "stadium". G block is where PED (Physical education

) is taken. During raining days the gym is often used by students doing P.E (Physical education) or during assembly time. The school's canteen was located in G block, but the canteen now is beside the school's library providing more space.

School's new buildings

Now new classrooms are being built near E block and R block, there will be built a bigger drama and music room, and the area where the old canteen was demolished, now there is new classrooms for Health classes.

Tutor group

Tutor group happens every morning during the week. The tutor group has a mix of students, each of them from different year, and together their tutor group teacher, which reads the notices for the student about the school and the tutor group teacher also helps the students if they need. There is many tutor group classrooms, each of them belong to a different houses (Fox, Hay, Arthur, Mackenzie and Duncan). In the classrooms usually have worlds equal the following "FRG", the first world which is "F" represents the first world of the houses which is Fox House the other two worlds "RG" would be the tutor group teacher's first and second name. Each classroom has different worlds on the door our inside walls. Tutor Group time usually takes around only 25 minutes, and starts at about 8:40 am.

Generally there are seven of each class every fortnight with the exception of senior students where usually one (or sometimes two for Year 13s) of each class is replaced with study.
