), it operates year round and is suitable for handling large tonnage ships. Vostochny is the only one absolutely warm-water port at Russian Far-East.

The largest stevedore in port is "JSC Vostochny Port", specializing mainly on coal handling with usage of conveyor equipment.

Vostochniy port also consists of VostCo Dry Dock, which was the site of construction of concrete gravity base structures LUN-A and PA-B for the development of Sakhalin island offshore oil fields.
Also one of the divisions of Vostochniy port is Special Sea Oil terminal which is located in Kozmino
