. The villa is modeled after a villa first built in 1893 in the Black Forest by an engineer Gustav Winter. The villa was first built in 1946 with two floors and a tower in the northwestern part of the villa, a balcony in the front and stone. In some travel guides, it is known as "summer home".

It is built on a remote part of the island with only a dust track leading to it. The journey from the nearest town of Morro del jable takes about an hour in a four wheel drive vehicle.

The history of the villa is the subject of several conspiracy theories, often involving Nazis.
