. It was established in 2001, but only officially entered the travel market in 2007. The airline operates 15 aircraft and offers regional, charter and international services to 13 destinations each week.

History

The Airline was founded in Maracaibo, Venezuela by investors in 2001, but it was not until 2007 that it entered the Venezuelan commercial aviation market with its regional route from Maracaibo to Caracas which is the most popular route in Venezuela, registering 92%punctuality in their six flights between these cities. It also offers other regional flights and international flights to Panama, United States and the Caribbean. The Venezolana-RAVSA fleet consists of older but modern aircraft, like the 737-200, Jetstream 41 and MD-83. During the last two years of service, the company has gained a bad reputation in the international travelling by their delays and cancellations of flights, mechanical problems with their aircraft, disorders in the carrier and complains by the passengers. The company, as a response, is making a try to make better the service by making some changes in the administrative area, re-structuring the flight schedules, making the proper maintenance to the aircraft and making an expansion plan to other cities, such as Colombia. However, Venezolana-RAVSA is consdiered as the most cheapiest airline by the passengers, because of their low-cost tickets and promotions as a difference of other air carriers.
