The University of Faisalabad is a private institution of higher education
in the city of Faisalabad
, Pakistan
. It was established to cater to the educational and technological need emerging in the progressive scenario of the country in general and Faisalabad and surrounding areas. The university aspires for an appropriate balance between the emerging disciplines of science and technology and prevalent fields of humanities and social sciences.
The university is chartered under Ordinance LX of 2002 promulgated by the Government of the Punjab
and recognized by the Higher Education Commission as a degree awarding university. The purpose built main campus is located on Sargodha Road, 4 km from the city centre and is also accessible from the M2 motorway
through Pindi Bhattian interchange. The campus is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for proficient teaching and learning. In early 2007 the male students were transferred to a new campus on Canal Road alongside Sarghoda Road.

Saleem Campus of the University of Faisalabad is located on Sargodha Road, Faisalabad near motorway interchange. It is established for female students.
HEC Digital Library Resources
The University library has access to digital library of The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan which provides researchers and other users access to database pertaining to International Scientific and Technical literature based on electronic (online) delivery and to 12,000 high quality, peer-reviewed journals and pver 40,000 e-books published byrenowned publishers around the world on a wide range of disciplines.
Computer Center
The University has around 245 PCs and several servers (number constantly growing). One Fully operational computer lab is equipped with latest Pentium IV computers having internet connectivity (wireless) with band width of 2MBs CIR. Student management system is deployed so that the students can use computers via their own login in a secure manner. Facility of printers and scanners is also available for students.
The University of Faisalabad, Amin Campus located on the West Canal Road, has recently established in the serene and quiet area of Faisalabad. The campus has lush green surroundings and is easily accessible from all sides of the city. This campus is a contained unit having excellent facilities including auditorium, conference room, hostel and faculty accommodation. This campus is housing the departments of Electrical and Textile Engineering, Management Studies, Arabic & Islamic Studies and Pharmacy.
Library
An independent library has been established in the Amin campus which has a large collection of books, research journals, periodicals to meet the research requirements of the students and the faculty members. In addition, digital library resources provided by HEC having access to more that 60,000 e-books and connected to e-libraries, the world over, have also been installed at this library. The library also regularly subscribes to many additions of IEEE journals.
Admission's Office
This office plays a key role in passing out first hand information to prospective candidates for admissions to the University regarding programs being offered, eligibility requirements, duration of courses, residential facilities and fee structure in the University. Necessary guidance is also provided to the applicants for conduct of entry test. It helps the selected students in completing enrollment formalities. Admission Office functions in close coordination with the Registrar and Accounts office.
Students Affairs
The University has an efficient and vibrant students' affairs section comprising an Admission's Office, Placement Cell, Information Technology Service Center, Human Resources, and Accounts Office. The activities of all these offices have been properly coordinated to facilitate the students.
Hostel
Boys Hostel located in the Amin Campus has fully furnished rooms with attached baths to accommodate about 200 students.
Cafeteria
A small cafeteria adjoining the Boys' campus caters for their assorted food requirement Arrangements are also in hand to further improve and expand its facilities to accommodate large number of students in years to come.
Transport
The centralized pool of transport managed from the Saleem Campus also meets the needs of the campus staff and students as required basis.
Conference Room
A well furnished centrally located conference room having seating capacity of 30 persons is available for hosting meetings, briefings conference or presentations.
Auditorium
A newly re-furbished auditorium having a seating capacity of 260 persons is available to host multipurpose activities. It is fitted with overhead projectors and latest multi media and sound systems.
Sports
The Campus has both in and outdoor game facilities. The playing facilities are also acquired on need basis for training of teams and participation in various sports competitions.

Bank at Amin Campus
The branch of the bank within the campus provides one window financial transaction facilities to the staff, students and employees of the University.
Faisalabad is linked via the M-3 motorway which branches off at the Faisalabad-Pindi Bhattian Interchange located on the Lahore-Islamabad motorway. The University Saleem Campus lies 2 km off the toll plaza on the left hand side of Sargodha Road while travelling towards the city. There is also a dual carriageway from Lahore to Faisalabad via Sheikhpura and Mananwala city, a shorter route but passes through many populated towns.
By Air
Faisalabad International Airport is about 10 km from the city centre. Passengers flights are run by the national flag carrier and other domestic airlines. It takes one hour from the campus to reach the airport. Taxis are easily available outside the airport.
By Coach
An exclusive Daewoo Express coach service also originates from the city linking all major cities of the Province/ Country. The bus terminal is about 20 minutes drive from the Saleem Campus.

The University has established a placement cell for placement of graduating students. The staff of the placement cell maintains a complete record of the students in different disciplines in the form of graduate's directory which is sent to prospective employers. The positions/vacancies available in different organizations are notified for the information of students. In certain cases employers are invited to conduct interviews in the University to pick up the graduates who suit their requirements. The cell serves as a resource and information center and organizes advisory sessions to promote skills needed for appearing in interviews.
Information Technology Service Center (ITSC)
ITSC acts as a Data Base center and has complete information regarding the student’s right from admission to the completion of final degree. ITSC has developed various modules for generating reports and information for the examination branch, accounts section, admission office, human resources, library and University inventory

Students Activities
The University places special attention on molding and developing the personalities of individuals as a whole. Special emphasis is laid on arranging lectures, seminars, workshops and symposia, debates, declamation contests, literary programs and quiz competitions. Activities are organized by various student committees concerned with sports, culture, health, research, student welfare, transport, environment etc. Student members of these committees are elected from various classes. A faculty member is appointed on each of these committees in order to provide guidance and to facilitate implementation of decisions that require interaction with the University. The committees conduct their business according to established policies and procedures. Students are encouraged to interact with faculty pertaining to academic affairs and co-curricular activities.General information
