(Until 2010 he will be a part-time university professor in Eindhoven as well as scientific chairman in the fields of HTE at the Dutch Polymer Institute. In addition he acts as the Director of the “Institute of Organic and Macromolecular Chemistry” and directs the research cluster “Innovative Materials and Technologies” at the University of Jena.

, allows young people to find access to each other on peaceful basis. The gains of the concerts will be donated to the children with cancer, which is the original asset of the foundation. The Academy has so far raised over € 500.000 for charity. Hospitals and institutions helping children with cancer in the regions where the concerts take place get donation from the sales of concert tickets and CDs.

Research

The major focus his research interest relates to metallo-supramolecular (block) copolymers and the investigation of the self-assembly process, characterization of supramolecular assemblies in solution, combinatorial material research, heterocyclic chemistry, supramolecular materials, surface biochemistry, nanoscience and tailor-made handcuff-macromolecules, which can be used in bioscience or medical applications. Up to March 2008 there are 300 publications and twelve patents by Prof. Schubert.
