TCMS includes grades 6 to 8. Classes meet on a six day cycle consistent with other schools in the district. Some classes use an 80 minute block format and meet every other day. There are accelerated courses in math, science and technology. The school uses the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) testing program to assess academic student progress.
In 6th grade, students participate in a two-day Outdoor Education Program, with camp activities such as archery, fishing, outdoor cooking, and team building games. 7th graders participate in a trip to Washington D.C. 8th graders participate in one of three trips depending on the foreign language they are taking: German students go to Vermont
