member Tengiz Tedoradze twice and lost on both occasions; once by submission (strikes) and on the other occasion, by TKO.
Blackledge rebounded with two successive victories; one via KO (head kick) against Tom Howard at Cage Rage 20 and another against Przemyslaw Mysiala via TKO (cut) at Cage Gladiators 4.
Blackledge then faced future UFC fighter Stefan Struve at Cage Gladiators 5 and lost via submission (triangle choke) and suffered his second successive loss at the hands of Martin Thompson via TKO.
After taking over a year out, Blackledge returned under the M-1 organisation, defeating Tatsuya Mizuno by submission (rear naked choke), before defeating Enoc Torres via KO (head kick) in just nine seconds.

Blackledge was scheduled to make his debut against James Te-Huna
at UFC 120
in London, England. However, on 11 July, Te-Huna withdrew from the fight due to an injury sustained in training. Blackledge was then scheduled to fight James McSweeney
, who was dropping to light heavyweight. However, on 29 September 2010, Blackledge withdrew from the fight for unknown reasons.

on 27 February 2011 at UFC 127
. Blackledge lost via first round submission due to an rear-naked choke.
After having just one fight with the promotion, Blackledge was released from the UFC.
