The Pike School

The Pike School, founded in 1926 by Cynthia E. Pike, is an independent, coed day school in Andover, Massachusetts that serves students in grades Pre-kindergarten through Nine. The mission statement is: "The Pike School seeks to develop within its community a life-long love of learning, respect for others, the joy of physical activity, and a creative spirit.

General information

It enrolls approximately 438 students in grades pre-kindergarten through ninth. The school is divided into three sections: lower school (pre-kindergarten through second grade), middle school (third grade through fifth grade), and upper school (sixth grade through ninth grade). The average class size in upper school is 15 students. The current head of school is John "Muddy" Waters.

The Pike School Speech Team competes in the Massachusetts Middle School Forensics League. They go to the Junior Forensics Finals annually and have received the "School of Excellence" for the past six years.
