The books' division

Originally there were six books Search, Revelation, Awakening, Predestination, Upheaval and Genesis. Nevertheless the authoress and the SM House agreed to merge every two titles into one book, both with a similar extension (fourteen chapters, one preface and three epilogues). The mergers turned into the three books we have today.

The SM House has relaunched the collection of new divided editions, with the result of six books. Also, comics about the trilogy are being done.

In The Resistance and Pantheon, the cover and the Back Cover have the same design, but different colours, whereas Triad has different drawings in the cover and in the back cover. The cover has changed along the editions.

Film

Most of its fans asked and still asking for a film of this Spanish trilogy, but, the authoress said in an interview that she didn't want to make a film because the rights of the book won't be only her and that gave the film factory the power to change the history as its own like.

Brief Summary

and Idhún. In the last world live six races (warmbloods) in harmony: the humans, the Celestials, the Feerics, the Varu, the Giants and the Yan, and the demidivine species: unicorns, dragons and sheks (winged snakes). The sheks and the Szish, were exiled and driven to almost extinction by the dragons ages ago, but an infinitely powerful wizard, Ashran the Necromant, used his magic mixed with divine magic to cause an Astral Conjunction of the three suns and the three moons of Idhún to bring the sheks to Idhún, and kill every dragon and unicorn and help establish his dominion to the six warmblood races with the help of the coldblood (the Szish), but there's a prophecy which says that one dragon and one unicorn will make his fall.

The plot will centre around three teenagers called Jack, Victoria and Kirtash (also known as Christian). Some wizards escaped from the Astral Conjunction to Earth. There Kirtash was sent, a cold and efficient assassin, who is under the control of Ashran, to kill them. Jack and Victoria, Earth-born, will try to stop him with the Resistance

, formed by the prince Alsan of Vanissar and the wizard Shail.

Along the three books we discover that there is a complex plot behind the story. It all moves around a battle of Deities. The six gods of the warmbloods (Aldun, Irial, Karevan, Neliam, Yohavir and Wina against the Seventh, father of the coldblood. The Six created Idhún and for them, its inhabitants are only pieces to move in a grand battle. The dragons captivated the warmblood, and the shek the coldblood. While the unicorns channel the magic around Idhún with their horns in a random fashion, and being neutral in the war. The Six organized a plan (a prophecy), to make one unicorn and one dragon to survive and be Ashran's killer's. Then the Seventh God put Kirtash in the mission to kill the surviving dragon and Unicorn. The story only gets worse from there, because they will find new and powerful enemies as the beautiful witch Feeric Gerde

, who turns to be the right hand of Ashran after Kirtash betrayed him, and takes an important part in the third book.
  • In the first book the characters develop sentimental ties and fight in Earth

while they discover their own true nature and they learn more about Idhún and the prophecy. The objective is to find the last unicorn and the last dragon.

  • In the second book the characters must learn to live together and their emotional development is still growing, but now in Idhún. They must create the rebellion and the unicorn with the dragon must win against Ashran, because there's a prophecy which says that a dragon and an unicorn will kill him with a shek who will open them the door. Although sooner we discover that it's only a little battle of pawns inside a great divine war which may destroy everything. The relation between the characters becomes stronger because the characters are getting more mature.

  • The third book explores the relation of the gods with the history of Idhun and Earth. In this book the relation of the characters makes bonds and become unbreakable. Their enemy will be Gerde who, although the Triad hates, must be helped by them.

. Here it was born the hybrid essence of Jack and Victoria. In Germany Aslan is kidnapped and transformed into an hybrid. It appears almost in the first book, but also in the third one.

Limbhad

Limbhad is a hidden world between Idhun and the Earth. To this world you can only arrive if you meet the Soul, one criature-machine created by the antique exiled wizards from Idhun to allow the way to any person who has the gift given by the unicorns the magic. Although, the Soul is a clever being which cans identify the bad intentions anb block the magic of the user who wants to enter to Limbhad. This world is always at night, and it's little. It's based in a little circular house (in the Celestial way), a little forest, the favorite place of Victoria, some mountains and a little river.

Idhún

Idhún has essential characteristics of the Middle Ages
Middle Ages
The Middle Ages is a periodization of European history from the 5th century to the 15th century. The Middle Ages follows the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476 and precedes the Early Modern Era.  (as the animal transport, the fightings, the kingdoms, the cavalries, etc.). It is governed by Ashran the Necromant and by Zeshak (king of the sheks). The great amount of the population is divided in races, which each of them lived in one different kingdom. The Varu live in the sea (as they call, the Oceanic Kingdom), the Giants live in Nanhai (kingdom of mountains), remoted from the rest of the world. The Yan live in the Kash-Tar desert. The Celestial live in Celestia, and they can see what one person feels inside of him. The Feeric live in the Awa Forest and the humans live in Nandelt, separated in different humans kingdoms (Nanetten, Shia, Vanissar, Dingra and Raheld). The unicorns used to live in Drackwen where there is the Lunn Mt. and the Alis Lithban Forest. The dragons used to live in Awinor. And the coldblood live in the swamps of Raden. There are many demiraces in Idhun as the Shur-Kaili Barbarians, the Limyati, the Ganti and the Demivaru Pirates.

Umadhun

Umadhun was the first world created by the Six: Irial (goddess of light and mother of the humans), Wina (goddess of life and mother of the Feeric), Neliam (goddess of water and mother of the Varu), Aldun (god of fire and father of the Yan), Yohavir (god of the wind and father of the Celestial) and Karevan (god of the rocks and the land and father of the Giants). It is full of underground galleries because of the heat temperatures. There is primitive life. Nowadays, (as Sheziss said it was ugly and boring). Was destroyed by the Six, when they were fighting between them, the Seventh God hasn't been created yet.
It was the exile place of the sheks in the Talmannon war. There, it's still living the oldest sheks, who don't want to come back to Idhun.
It was the place where Jack falls, won, in a fight against Kirtash. He went to Umadhun by the Fire Chasm. There Sheziss teaches him to control his hate against the shek.

The world created by the Seventh

We don't know its appearance neither its real name. It's the world created by the Seventh, personified in the witch Gerde, to escape with the Sheks and the Szish from the fight of the Six, without any warmblood race, only shek and Szish, because Kirtash and Saissh didn't go there, remaining in Idhun.
Saissh means seven in the snakes' language, and belongs to a girl kidnapped from the Barbarians by the Feeric Gerde to personify her body in the future, but at the end it didn't happen.
